Further to previous updates, we can now confirm that the Section 175/157 self-assessment audit for all Schools and Colleges across the Blackpool and Lancashire areas IS NOW LIVE.
The requirement for safeguarding self-assessment is directed by the statutory guidance Working Together to Safeguard Children [2018] which places a number of duties on Local Authorities and School Governing Bodies/Proprieters under Sections 175 and 157 of the Education Act 2002.
The self-assessment for the 2021/22 academic year is completed online and runs between Monday 10th January – Friday 1st April 2022. A toolkit of supporting resources including comprehensive audit completion guidance, an action plan template and a variety of frequently asked questions is available from the dedicated Section 175/157 page in the Assurance, Scrutiny & Impact section of the CSAP website.
