The UK Council for Internet Safety (UKCIS) has published a best practice guide to help social workers and the wider children’s social care workforce support the online lives of children in care.  The guidance contains nine guiding principles identified across three areas: Professional Practice; Supporting Foster Carers and Supporting Care Experienced Young People.

Each of the nine principles is underpinned with:

  • The rationale behind the principle
  • Examples of best practice
  • When you should be concerned
