Research from the BBFC (British Board of Film Classification) has revealed that the three biggest mental health concerns for teens are anxiety, stress and depression, with two thirds (64%) of 13-18 year olds saying they want appropriate warnings on all films and TV shows featuring this content. Accredited by the PSHE Association, the BBFC have created lessons to support Key Stage 4 pupils to explore the impact film and media content can have on mental health and the importance of making healthy viewing choices. You can access the freely-available BBFC lessons from the BBFC website.
