Join Our Education Subgroup as a Volunteer
The Children’s Safeguarding Assurance Partnership (CSAP) is looking for experienced education staff to volunteer in our education subgroup. This is a unique chance to help ensure the safety and well-being of children in various educational settings.

Who We Are Looking For:
- Current Role: Applicants should be working in an Education environment within a safeguarding remit.
- Experience: Senior leadership / Deputy Head level with Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and /or safeguarding experience within the last 5 years.
- Sector Diversity: We welcome members from across the sector including primary, secondary, early years, further education (FE), academies, independent, special educational needs, faith provision and pupil referral units.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Identify and Discuss Issues: Raise ongoing and emerging concerns affecting the sector in relation to child safeguarding and work with others to identify and recommend solutions.
- Support Compliance: Support raising awareness of and compliance with national legislation, policies, guidance and findings from national case reviews.
- Local Information exchange: Provide updates on key local developments in safeguarding, including inspection findings, audits, and case reviews.
- Consultation and feedback – on implications of local and national decision making and policy changes relating to safeguarding in education settings.
- Share Good Practice: Identify and share best safeguarding practice and consider themes from Ofsted/Independent Schools Inspectorate reports.
- Identify training gaps for the sector and consider option for peer support, case studies, staff CPD etc.
